General
The WCHBZ series are compact unit, water-air heat pumps, which are suitable for operation when coupled to air distribution piping. These units are supplied totally finished, with an operational refrigerant charge, and after having passed strict final verification. They are ready for fast installation on
site (connection to a piping system, water mains connection, mains power connection and connection to a control system).
Component design and layout provides great versatility for application in any requirement, together with easy access to inside the equipment for later maintenance work. Their reduced size means they can be installed in false ceilings, galleries and terraces etc. These machines are outstanding as being ideal for air conditioning in apartments, dwellings, cafés, offices and medium-sized commercial premises.

Exterior unit
Constructed in high-quality finished with electrostatically-applied polyester powder and polymerised in an oven, which confers optimum corrosion resistance to outside weather conditions.
The assembly is internally lined with thermo-acoustic insulation.
The condensed water collection tray is treated with an asphalt type of material.

Cooling circuit
Constructed employing special copper refrigeration piping, perfectly clean and dehydrated. The circuit includes a drying filter and "Schraeder" valves for future verification and maintenance, gas pulsation elimination discharge line which is silent in operation, suction accumulator, 4-way valve and single-direction valves. All welds are carried out using silver alloy in an inert atmosphere.

Sealed compressor
Incorporates thermal and internal over-current protection for the windings, oil sump heater element, corresponding oil charge for permanent lubrication and internal shock absorbing system.

Interior heat exchanger
Refrigerant/air. Constructed with aluminium fins.

Exterior heat exchanger
Water/refrigerant, tube-in-tube (coaxial) type, reverse-current water cooled. The interior piping is finned and the exterior piping forms the casing. The interior piping is firmly attached to the exterior tube preventing all vibration.

Fans
Centrifuge type, with double suction, which the application of conduit.
These are driven by a single-phase (230V, I, 50 Hz) with permanent condenser. Transmission is via pulleys and belts for flow rate-static pressure regulation (except models 201 to 401, which are directly driven by the motor).
The fans, which have reduced noise levels, are fitted with prelubricated bearings and are balanced both statically and dynamically.

Expansion devices
Consisting of suitably calibrated capillary tubes.

Air filter
Polyurethane foam, washable, 10 mm thick, S-20 reticulation, possessing high filtration efficiency.

Operation and control equipment
24V ac environment thermostat. The thermostat includes two selectors, one with Stop, Cooling or Heating positions and the other for ventilation with positions ON (continuous ventilation) and AUTO (automatic ventilation). It also includes the operational contactors for the compressor and ventilation motor, together with the 230V solenoid 4-way valve. High and low pressurestats. Anti-icing protection. Anti short cycle
protection. Terminal strips for electrical power and thermostat connections, together with external components, such as flow switch, solenoid valve and emergency heating etc.
