General
The chiller/heat pumps air-water EWXA/EWXBA are compact units designed for outside installation, on flat roofs, terraces or the ground. They are supplied with the refrigerant charge ready for installation. These units have been manufactured under strict quality control throughout the entire process.

Sheet structure
The structure of this equipment is resistant to outside weather conditons, of galvanized steel. It provides an excelent coating in corners and edges. The design has been concived for an easy maintenance. The finished assembly is in colour RAL 1013.

Refrigerant circuit
- Outdoor coils with copper piping and aluminium fins.
- ACR copper refrigerant lines.
- Filter driers in liquid lines.
- Reversible 4-way valves.
- Double expansion system.
- Suction accumulators.
- Non-return valves.

Compressors
This serie of units incorporate a scroll compressor. This includes internal thermal protection, together with crankcase heater to protect this against the refrigerant liquid slugging during start-up.

Outdoor coil
These coils are constructed from weld-free 3/8 copper piping, which is expanded in aluminium fins.

Water-refrigerant heat exchanger
Stainless steel plates. They are fully insulated and incorporate an electrical heater to prevent freezing, when the machine is shutdown.

Motor-driven fans
These are completely closed off for outside weather conditions, with permanent lubrication. They are formed from aluminium blades designed to produce low noise levels, which are inserted into the exterior rotor of to high-efficiency motor, with IP-54 protection and class F insulation. They are fitted with internal thermal protection sensors, together with an exterior safety grille.

Expansion devices
The unit is equipped with thermostatic expansion valves with MOP. One in the inlet of plate heat exchanger for functioning in refrigeration mode. The expansion in the outdoor coil, when necessary (functioning in heating mode), it is done through orifice (nozzle).
